A Central Reservation System, also known as a Hotel Reservation System, is a computerized system which memorizes and distributes information about a hotel, resort or other accommodation services. A centralized reservation system is a means of connecting to a Global Distribution System (GDS), as well as Internet Distribution Systems (IDS), from a single system. The CRS helps hotel managers oversee online marketing and sales. Tariffs and room availability can be uploaded so reservations may be made through the sales channels linked to the CRS. These sales channels may include traditional travel agencies as well as online travel agencies.
